The Story of

Hello and welcome to Jill+Jack Paper. I'm so glad you found your way here. 

I'm Jillian Jackson, the self-taught illustrator and creative entrepreneur behind Jill+Jack Paper.     I run this business from my home in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. If you check out my work, you'll find that many of my illustrations are inspired by my home.

I have two streams to my business.

1) My newly launched biodegradable wildflower seed greeting cards

AND

2) Custom illustrations for families, weddings and corporate visuals.

 

Let's start with the greeting cards. The cards are made in Canada using my hand drawn illustrations on biodegradable wildflower seed paper. I created these cards because I wanted to use my art to bring love and connection to the humans living on this planet  WITHOUT PRODUCING MORE WASTE and harming our planet.  

You can find my cards in several shops and boutiques across Nova Scotia and I'm always looking for new retail partners to work with. If you've got a shop and you think my cards could be a good fit for your customers (I mean, who doesn't like a zero-waste yet super cute card that seconds as a bouquet of wildflowers and a home for our favourite pollinators?), I'd love to hear from you.

As much as I love expressing my own thoughts and feelings through illustration and words on my greeting cards, I LOVE working with clients to illustrate their lives and businesses, too. My background in marketing and communications means that I'm a great listener and I have a knack for capturing the spirit of the people and businesses that I work with, putting your vision to paper through pictures.

My work brings me joy. It might just bring you or someone special to you joy,  too.
